CLEVELAND GOLF HIBORE XLS TOUR DRIVER

Every other club I own is a Nike model. With this driver combo, I can still slice it if I am not careful, but the slice is not as extreme as with my old driver. I don't mind eating humble pie when the result is drives that are longer and straighter. This driver sounds like a shotgun and I love it. Great price for a very good driver. I love the XL.

The larger face and higher moment of inertia of the Cleveland HiBore XLS Tour driver makes a big difference, because the crown of the head has been carved out to make it longer and deeper. With this combo I hit piercing drives with nice trajectory and roll. It's quite loud, but it's hard not to like a club this long and straight. Bottom line is that cleceland is the best performing club I could find right now and I'll trade feel for performance any day of the week.

Not only does this increase the forgiveness, but it also makes it much easier to align the club at address. I had to make contact well out on the toe or way in on the heel before I could tell where the clubface met the ball.

For me the "traditional" toud driver heads don't help me enough with alignment and I realize this is all in my head but it is what I am thinking at address nonethelessand the totally square heads play mind games with me and make me think too much about club head alignment instead of just relaxing and taking a good swing. The Red sls the heavier weight, lower torque version with a higher kick point than the Gold.
